LA VERNE- The University of La Verne women's soccer squad won a conference tilt over Cal Lutheran University 1-0 Saturday evening.

The Leopards (8-9-1, 5-6-1 SCIAC) scored the upset victory over the Regals (14-4, 10-2 SCIAC) with a goal from Olga Saldivar in the 61st minute. Marisella Macias was credited with the assist after he shot was fumbled by the Cal Lutheran goalie and tapped in by Saldivar.

Saldivar led the offense with three shot attempts while goalie Delanie Pacheco had three saves in the clean sheet. The Leos were outshot 14-9 but both teams put only three attempts on target.
