The University of La Verne men's tennis team hosted the Panthers
from Chapman University Friday afternoon at the Claremont Club but
fell short in a 7-2 final.
The Leopards' #1 Doubles team of Richie Delgado and Alex Muresan
pushed Chapman's Clifford Yook and Tyler Martin into a tie-break,
and were able to pull out a 7-4 win to give La Verne its first
point of the match.
Muresan would continue his strong play heading into singles, where
he was able to beat Leland Buttle in two sets (6-3, 6-4).
The Leopards resume action tomorrow as they host St. John's
(Minn.) at the Claremont Club. The match will begin at 2:00pm.
