PASADENA – University of La Verne senior Ronn See was named First Team All-SCIAC, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The 6-foot guard averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and a league-leading 4.7 assists in SCIAC play.
See was the only player in the league who averaged at least four rebounds and four assists in conference play.
The Palm Desert native reached double digits in scoring in the final eight games and handed out an least one assist in every game this season.
"We are really proud of Ronn's accomplishments during his time at La Verne," La Verne head coach Richard Reed said. "I know Ronn will look at this as a team award, but he put in an incredible amount of work in his four years here."
This is the second year in a row that a Leopard senior was named to the All-SCIAC First Team after not making any all-conference teams in his first three years. Jake Vieth '13 earned the honors last year and he was named to All-West Region Team as well.
"It is proof positive that believing in your teammates and buying into our system allows guys to improve each year and do great things at La Verne," Reed added.
Tyler Gaffaney of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was named the SCIAC Player of the Year.
