The best of La Verne football during the 2000s is represented on the recently released Leopard All-Decade Team.  A plethora of All-Conference selections are attached to the talented players who showcased their skills from 2000-2009.

On offense, two-time All-SCIAC quarterback Brian Guerrero earns the spot at quarterback and is joined in the backfield by running backs Philip Craig and Chris Handy.  At the receiver positions, Roger Logan teams up with Cedric Ho, who enjoyed a record-setting campaign in 2009 to earn a spot on the All-Decade squad. 

All-SCIAC tight end LeAndre Allen, who starred in the mid 2000s, is also a member of the team.  The offensive line consists of All-Conference performers Kenny Andrew, Ernesto Rios, Josh Koeffer, Kyle Appleford and Jacob Round. 

The Leopard defense is highlighted by defensive lineman DJ Kolb, who earned SCIAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2000.  The other defensive linemen include Nate Mendoza and current Leopard Jorge Villagomez.  A talented linebacker quartet includes Marcel Perez, Jason Carpenter, Branamier Courtney and Corey Tello. 

The La Verne defensive backs consists of a pair two-time All-SCIAC players in cornerback Jonathan Johnson and safety Gabe Segovia.  The defensive backfield is also represented by Taylor Hart and Justin Brown.

On special teams, both Hart and Craig make a second appearance as returners, with Hart serving as a kick returner and Craig earning a spot as a punt returner.  Flynn Turner makes the squad as placekicker while All-Conference punter Randy McGillvary is also included.

At-large selections went to a pair of offensive linemen in Joe Manfre and Matt Wiegand along with linebacker Chris Oliver and defensive lineman Kevin Knosp.
